Hello everyone...new to the group. I just wanted to say hi and I was wondering if anybody knew my friend Shane Walsh. He passed away in a bad car accident in Cranford a few years ago. He had just moved to Cranford from Roselle a few months before he died. It was all over the newspapers and there is a baseball field dedicated to his memory. He was preparing to go to college when his life was cut short. He was a very wonderful person, very funny...we used to love to play pranks on people!!! He could make a complete stranger smile. He was truly loved by all....he was one of my best friends and I miss him terribly. Just wondering if anybody here knew him, maybe we could share some memories. Thanks :)

Did you know his cousin...like were you friends or just neighbors? Just curious. I wish you could have known him. He was such a beautiful person - full of life. Thanks for the input...I appreciate it.

Hi! My best friend is his cousin Ryan. His family misses him so much. They always talk about what a great person he was. Ryan was in second grade (I think) when it happened. There is a field on Kenilworth Boulevard named for him. The people who own the property with the tree he crashed into will not let the Zimmermans or Walshes or anyone put flowers there. I'm sorry for your loss.

He was my friend

Shane was my friend. We grew up together. We started as friends in first grade and stayed friends through high school. We loss touch when he left roselle catholic to go to roselle public school, but when I found out about his death, it was like a part of me died with him. He was the most wonderful person you could ever meet. He was full of life and always made everyone laugh. A part of my heart will always belong to him, and this world is a darker place without him. I think about his family all of the time, especially his younger sister Erin. He will always be missed, and always be loved.
